Provide regular veterinary care

Every dog ??needs certain core vaccinations on a regular basis. Bring a golden lab dog to the vet at least twice a year for routine checks to monitor health and establish good relationships with veterinary staff. If your pet is injured or does not behave as usual, visiting a vet for medical examination and treatment if needed, is also a good move. Veterinarians will also prescribe necessary medications (topical and supplements) to help ward off parasitic attacks such as lice and fleas. As you get older, you may find health problems such as groin dysplasia, epilepsy or convulsions. The Labrador retriever may also have problems with his eyes. If any of these things happen to your dog, contact your vet immediately and talk about possible solutions or treatments. Old dogs who have health problems should be sent to the veterinarian at least every two months or as directed by a doctor. Naturally, this dog is a very loving animal. If there’s something more lovable to a Labrador retriever than food, it’s spending time with you, playing, being spoiled or just following you around.
